Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A forklift, also called a counterbalance, carries loads as heavy as 30,000 lbs. Despite being sturdy and large, these industrial machinery still bear the possible risk of accident or crash. To be able to be safe, be sure to have operators put on an appropriate seat belt in the forklift and check that up to standard safety features are on board. People know that seat belts can save lives in the event of an accident.
Three-Point Seat Belt
Three-point seat belts could extend over the lap and across the upper body. These kinds of belts offer an extra safety degree by protecting your body. They are available in both bench-seat and buckle-seat kinds. The 3-point seat belts are available in either retractable and non-retractable styles.
The majority of modern vehicles available offer retractable seat belts. Though non-retractable types increase safety, retractable kinds provide a lot more comfort. It is impossible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
Two-point lap belts are ones that extend over the lower part of the body. Most lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, simply press on the belt button and the two sides will separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The circuit-closed seat belts are the type that force forklift operators to put on a seat belt. These seat belts have a micro-switch attached that enables an alarm to sound if an operator starts a vehicle and is not secured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both non-retractable and retractable lap-band types.
