Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator a safe and efficient place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major study of operators' working conditions. The most important objective is to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and large glass areas unobstructed to keep the field of vision clear. The instrumental panel is ergonomically designed and is gently rounded and extremely comfortable. This area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all important info, so as to keep the operator functioning as efficiently as possible.
Thanks to the insulated mounting to the chassis, overall noise levels and vibration levels are kept low. The controller's seat and the hydraulic controls are all individually adjustable in order to maintain an optimum working position. Additionally, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 simple to operate, ergonomically positioned multi-functioned levers that are provided for gear changing, windscreen wipers, the window washers and horn.
To guarantee a comfy cab temperature for the operator, a ventilation/heating unit provides incoming air which is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machine has a robust 3-speed fan for cooling, heating, recirculation and defrosting. As an additional option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
In the Spirit Delta, the instrument panel has logically grouped units which are all accessible. Standard instrumentation consists of: low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, warning lamps, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. Moreover, gauges display values for fuel quantity, operating time, gearbox oil pressure and engine coolant.
The ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring is among the main options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These units make it easier to supervise the equipment. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS or Electronic Control System and incorporated by this system. The single warning lamp and the full text display show any errors that happen and their current values.
