JLG Telehandlers Delaware
John L. Grove chose to stop working after spending numerous years working side by side with his brother to be able to build their crane manufacturing business into a world leader. John as well as his wife Cora celebrated their retirement by setting out on a cross-country journey using their R.V. After that trip, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the world's leading producer of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling equipment.
During the R.V. journey, John spent a lot of the time talking to prior business associates who the Groves stopped to visit along their trip. When they visited the Hoover Dam, sadly, 2 employees were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. During following conversations, John discovered a huge untapped market for a type of machinery which can safely and quickly raise people into the air to be able to carry out construction and maintenance functions.
John decided to take action when John and his wife returned from the trip. He formed a partnership with two close friends when they bought a small metal manufacturing company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, with an initial group of 20 employees, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous components of the basic design elements of that first machine are still being integrated into the existing machinery
The company has come a very long way ever since John L. Grove came back into town from his cross-country journey and have grown significantly ever since they debuted their very first aerial work platform. Even these days, JLG continues to expand into additional global markets. A lot of innovative products are made to help clients work safer and be more effective.
JLG has remained devoted to being at the forefront of the industry. The company takes operator comfort into account very seriously. They attempt to deliver in safety and overall comfort, as well as in performance so that the operator could be as effective as possible.
