Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories that generate enough sound so that the sound is heard overtop the noises produced from the forklift itself.
The sound generated by the audio device should be discernible from other audible devices or noises from the work environment. The sound must also be different from the other sound or audible devices in the work area. The audible device could employee noise exposure and end up contribute to OSHA noise limitation; therefore, care needs to be taken.
Hearing protection makes it harder to hear the audible device and to distinguish what distance and direction it is coming from. Audible devices can occasionally get deactivated from both operators and employees because they could find them annoying. Moreover, audible devices could also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help prevent injuries and lessen other concerns. In addition, these cabs feature an emergency exit via window removal. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each and every particular use, the operator is able to choose the performance requirement. Also, it enables a supervisor to set the utmost performance of a unit for an operator who is just learning. Being able to adjust and lessen the maximum performance of the model enables a new operator to learn the equipment's operating characteristics in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is required to activate and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be certain to manage the machine in a more controlled manner.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the tail swing area, as well as the operating environment behind the truck.
